Asynchronous Discussion Activities

During my time at RIT as an Instructional Designer & Technology Research Consultant, my colleagues and I collaborated to create a series known as Teaching Elements. These were based on Educause's "7 Things You Should Know About" resources.  I developed several
Teaching Elements that focused on how to engage students through asynchronous discussion in online and hybrid courses.   These teaching and learning resources focused on best practices for managing discussions and also provided instructions for facilitating activities that foster community, reinforce concepts, and promote critical thinking.
